Asha Darsit Shah
My parents always told me my name was special: Asha.
But combine that with my last name, Shah, and you’ve got yourself years and years of hearing, “AshaShah” and “hey, your first and last name are basically the same” from middle school boys, nonetheless.
And then I remembered an old friend, my middle name.
So I put my initials together and it all suddenly became clear: A.D.S. /ads/.
Who knew letters could hold so much power? Maybe my name is special after all.
